چکیده
Water pollution caused by industrial organic compounds is a serious global environmental problem. In some developing countries, the wastewater discharged from the textile industry is estimated to be more than one billion tons annually. The dyes in the discharge usually contain functional groups that could lead to high toxicity, i.e. the aromatic amine groups. Some dyes are resistant to light, heat and are oxidizing agents, and also non-biodegradable. In recent years, many methods have been developed to remove dyes from wastewater, which include coagulation, precipitation, chemical oxidation, adsorption, etc. However, the output water from some textile industries, even after the above removal processes, still contains low concentrations (<1 10 5 mol L ) of soluble ionic dyes, featuring incomplete decolorization. On such occasions it is necessary to develop a technique specifically applicable for treating and completely decolorizing the wastewater that contains dilute cationic and/or anionic dyes. To achieve this aim, an ideal strategy is to firstly preconcentrate the wastewater, and then recycle or treat it by conventional methods. In fact, how to concentrate low-concentration ions and molecular species in water is still an important topic that needs intensive exploration. For example, in trace contaminant detection, the preconcentration of the highly toxic substance is a major bottleneck. Also, a great deal of effort is underway to obtain progress in the preconcentration of dilute pollutants. Among the present

متن کاملShortest Path Problem on a Network with Imprecise Edge Weight
Nayeem and Pal (Shortest path problem on a network with imprecise edge weight, Fuzzy Optimization and Decision Making 4, 293-312, 2005) proposed a new algorithm for solving shortest path problem on a network with imprecise edge weight. In this paper the shortcomings of the existing algorithm, (Nayeem and Pal, 2005) are pointed out and to overcome these shortcomings a new algorithm is proposed. ...

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) has provided a valuable experimental testbed for quantum information processing (QIP). Here, we briefly review the use of nuclear spins as qubits, and discuss the current status of NMR-QIP. Advances in the techniques available for control are described along with the various implementations of quantum algorithms and quantum simulations that have been performed u...
متن کاملIntraoperative parathyroid hormone monitoring in neonatal severe primary hyperparathyroidism.
Neonatal severe primary hyperparathyroidism presents in the first days of life with severe life-threatening hypercalcemia. It is associated with an inactivating homozygous mutation of the calcium sensing receptor gene. Total parathyroidectomy is the treatment of choice, so the surgeon must identify all the parathyroid tissue, including supernumerary and ectopic glands. We present the case of an...
